Privacy Policy

The short version

This is the personal portfolio site of Pratyush. It's an informational site — there are no accounts to create and nothing to buy. There's a contact form: what you type is emailed to me so I can reply, and isn't stored in any database or used for marketing. For analytics I use privacy-friendly, cookieless tracking by default, plus Google Analytics if you accept it on the cookie banner, so I can see how many people visit and which pages are popular.

By default I use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics; Google Analytics (which uses cookies) loads only if you accept it on the cookie banner. I don't build profiles to follow you around the web, and I never sell your data.

What's collected (analytics)

By default this site uses Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless tool. It records aggregate, anonymous data about visits — page views, which pages are viewed, the referring source (e.g. a social link), approximate country, and device/browser type. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not identify you.

If you choose "Accept" on the cookie banner, the site also loads Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies and helps me see how visitors move through the site (for example, which projects get clicked). Google processes this data on my behalf; see Google's privacy policy for details. If you choose "Decline", Google Analytics is never loaded and no such cookies are set.

Contacting me

If you email me using the address on this site, I'll have whatever you choose to put in that email (your name, message, and email address) so I can reply. I use that only to respond to you and don't add you to any list.

Links to other sites

The project cards link out to live demos and third-party sites. Once you click through, you're on someone else's site, governed by their privacy practices — not this policy.

Your choices

The cookie banner lets you Accept or Decline Google Analytics; Decline means no analytics cookies are set. To change your mind later, clear this site's storage in your browser and the banner will appear again. The cookieless Vercel analytics carries no personal data, but any content/ad blocker that blocks analytics scripts will stop both, and the site will work exactly the same.
